As the HR Director of Seismic India, you will partner closely with VP R&D, Managing Director/Head of Hyderabad, leaders and managers to establish the Seismic India office, inclusive of decisions about policies, practices, benefits, etc that shape and reinforce the culture. In addition, you will strategically partner with these senior leaders to actively engage and advise on plans, programs, and policies that directly align with their business strategy and provide proactive HR support to their organizations.
What you’ll be doing:
- This role will be the primary HR local point of contact for all India leadership and teams on Talent initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with global HRBP to support business units located in Hyderabad
- Advise and influence our senior leaders through relationship building, delivering impact, leveraging your deep experience, and partnering with the core Talent team to solve critical business problems and complex challenges
- Build culture across business leaders and functions to drive a culture of diversity and inclusion in our Hyderabad office
- Support organizational resilience by developing the capacity and readiness for start-up location
- Advise and influence People managers and Senior Leaders across the product and engineering organization
- Partner with leaders on a range of activities including leadership capability, performance management, team efficiency and organizational alignment.
- Cross-collaboration with G&A functions (Finance, Legal, IT and Facilities)
- Guide business leaders on performance matters, providing coaching to both managers and employees for improved performance.
- Advise leaders and managers on performance planning processes and compensation activities during the year.
- Apply knowledge of local employment law and exercise good judgement to effectively resolve employment relations to help resolve complex and unique employment-related issues and manage employee relations issues fairly, thoroughly, and proactively.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment regulations and best practices that are highly aligned to meet the needs of the business and improve employee experience.
- Partner across Talent Operations, Talent Acquisition, Global HRBPs, Learning & Development and the business to ensure our people are set up for success from their onboarding through their career journey at Seismic
- Analyze data to track and report on performance against our internal and external goals and target KPIs for the Talent team.
- Execute special projects and people initiatives as needed.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- 8+ years in a HR leadership/business partner role, preferably in a high-growth tech company with 1000+ employees.
- Experience operating as a strategic business partner, with proven ability to support leaders, managers and teams
- High degree of business acumen, fostering collaboration with leaders to identify business and people priorities.
- Skilled at identifying and assessing current organizational capabilities – building what’s required, shaping and supporting culture, and aligning organizational programs to reinforce culture.
- Deep experience supporting VP level clients on long-term, strategic talent initiatives, acting as a trusted advisor to create an environment and culture for growth and learning.
- Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility with leaders.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a passion for Talent strategy.
- Analytical and goal oriented with demonstrated experience with HR metrics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
- Ability to be flexible and nimble within a changing organization. Must possess strong change management and strong organizational skills
- A natural facilitator, able to drive teams to decisions and actions.
- Ability to thrive in a passionate, high energy, fast paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- This position will be based in the Hyderabad office
